DIY Modular Outdoor Sofa in 3 Pieces
I promised I'd be back with another sectional design after my last video, so here we are! Let's build a the "sectional sectional" this time.
This design is simply two outdoor sofas that butt together in the corner. To achieve this design, I made it modular--so it's in three pieces: a corner chair plus two one armed sofas on each side.
In my last video, I shared a chaise sectional very similar to this: ua-cam.com/video/HcG0fZOO_Vc/v-deo.html
But this one has some challenges with two angled backs meeting at the corner. I hope you enjoy watching me fumble my way through it!

    • @WoodshopDiaries
      @WoodshopDiaries 5 днів тому

      The ones I have are under a covered porch. They get wet occasionally but not every rain. But the ones for my mom are on her open patio. They are outdoor cushions so they’re made for use outdoors and have water resistant fabric. They get rained on, but dry off quickly. Shes never washed hers (I haven’t washed mine either), but she did bring hers inside during the winter. I left mine out. Both sets are still going strong.

    Hi, Thanks for posting the videos, i have few questions. Appreciate if you can answer. 1. I see that you dont use stop block to cut .. do you just measure and cut on pencil line. 2. I see that you dont use clamp but use your hand while tighting pocket hole screw.. Does that work for you. 3. I also see that you dont use corner clamp, does it always come square. 4. when you cut plywood using kreg rip cut, does it come parallel ? Please i started doing some projects for drawers and i finished it and faced above 4 problems ... I am happy to donate to your channel if you have one.. Thanks a million ..

    • @WoodshopDiaries
      @WoodshopDiaries 6 днів тому

      Hi! Sure! 1. Yes. I’m not sure what the question is? 2. In my own personal experience, it’s easier, more accurate and quicker without a clamp. 3. Usually. And if not, by the time a few more pieces (back panel, face frame) are added, it’ll pull itself square. 4. Yes, if it’s used properly. The edge guide has to stay flush and square to the edge. If you start it off square, the whole cut gets off. If you’re interested, I have a video on building drawers with some additional tips: ua-cam.com/video/QpCzZQOBDy8/v-deo.htmlsi=0Zw9jTp-D46o2YnK
